I have known Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach for many years and quite Franky he is one of the most beloved guys in music.

A “frontman’s frontman” Jacoby is not only a MONSTER on stage but he is also one of the greatest guys in rock!

In this Reconnect webisode we discuss the bands current release “Ego Trip”,  what true gratitude is and why it’s important, teaming up with young bands like “Beartooth” and rock’s new fan base and future and of course DOGS! (he loves dogs like me!)

We have a really cool announcement regarding the band coming up too…..so stay tuned!

Thank You Jacoby! Great hang as usual and we love you!

3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold is always such a bright light and fun. positive hang and I was so excited to have him on “Reconnect” to discuss the “Away From the Sun” Anniversary Tour coming to PNC on June 28th for a WDHA show, the incredible  songwriting that crafted the bands second album and how the songs connected with military members, the price of early success and Brad’s  gratitude surrounding “The Better Life Foundation” charity. (Oh and we also cover his LOVE of Candlebox and their opening slot on the tour!)

Thank You Brad. Such a pleasure!

Lajon “LJ” Witherspoon is one of my favorite people on earth. He has a positive light around him and he’s a METAL GOD!

The band killed it at WDHA”s Rock The Rockfest in April and LJ talks about the mighty Prudential Center with me.

A band no one wants to follow, “Sevendust has arrived!” has become a legendary phrase.

In this Reconnect webisode we discuss the bands forthcoming 14th release “Truth Killer” out on 7/28, the magic of working with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette, fans as family and the bands connection to the N.J. Sevendust loyalists.

Oh and we touch on being a “cool dad” too!

Check out their new single “Everything” below and their show coming to The Stone Pony Summerstage on 8/2 with Alter Bridge and Mammoth WVH. Sure to be an EPIC New Jersey night.

Danny Worsnop  from Asking Alexandria jumped off stage after a show to check in for a Reconnect With Rockers webisode and we had a great hang talking new music, the bands upcoming tour with The Hu and the Starland Ballroom show, the bands killer new song “Psycho” ,  his love of the studio, why New Jersey is special for the band and more!

Danny is such and interesting guy who never compromises and loves to make music. he’s upfront, honest and never apologetic.

I really enjoyed this chat because it was my first with Danny and he was so incredibly open to talking about everything.

Hi Friends,

As you all know (I’m sure) I’m a HUGE champion of new rock and WDHA does our best to bring you some awesome new artists from all sonic areas of the rock genre- and I love having them on Reconnect With Rockers so we can get the full scope if who they are.

Austin Meade is someone I have had my eyes and ears on for awhile and when his new single “Blackout” dropped , I flipped! It was actually brought to my attention by a few listeners who saw Austin perform with Giovannie and The Hired Guns.

Austin Meade joined me for this “Reconnect” webisode to discuss his musical roots, how being a drummer originally works it’s way into all of his music, his band, his Pastor , Heavy Metal Father, love of maiden and Megadeth and so much more!

Austin has roots in 70’s rock, metal and a bit of southern and country sensibility with his Texas roots.

Go back and check out his catalog, which is coming up on ten years old, especially his album “Abstract Art Of An Unstable Mind” and you will be blown away as well.

Check out some of Austin’s video’e below- and stay tuned for concert information as we will let you know when this talented guy and his killer band roll into New Jersey to give us some tunes live.

An artist to watch- Austin Meade – get to know him this week on Reconnect With Rockers!

As always thanks for watching…….

It was so fantastic to see the face (and hear the voice!) of my old friend John Corabi! John has been a longtime friend of WDHA since his “Union” and “Motley” days (which he discusses in our interview) and is one of the nicest guys in music hands down.

John is also one of the most talented and unique vocalists in rock as well with his powerful, bluesy throat and delivery of a song that always gives me chills.

In this “Reconnect” webisode John discusses rejoining The Dead Daisies and why he left the band initially due to their extensive touring. We also discuss his days in “Motley Crue” the appreciation of his contributions NOW and how he has survived band drama being a “nice guy”! (Which believe me was my question….I don’t know how the hell he does it with constant drama in these bands!) and touring with another one of my favorite talented nice guys “Tom Keifer”.

John’s return to The Dead Daisies also celebrates a new collection- a “Best Of” – (the exciting decade of Daisies has arrived!) and is available on double CD and Vinyl right now.

The  LP features a sixteen-page colour booklet, behind-the-scenes studio and live images from each era of The Daisies, a poster e, an exclusive sticker, and two 180-gram red splattered vinyl!

The CD  collection features two CD’s, a twenty-four-page color booklet with some cool Dead Daisies memories.

Here is the track listing –

Disc 1
1. Miles In Front Of Me
2. Lock N’ Load
3. Face I Love
4. Mexico
5. Midnight Moses
6. With You And I
7. Something I Said
8. Fortunate Son
9. Long Way To Go
10. Song And A Prayer
Disc 2
1. Make Some Noise
2. Resurrected
3. Rise Up
4. Holy Ground (Shake The Memory)
5. Unspoken
6. Bustle And Flow
7. Hypnotize Yourself
8. Born To Fly
9. The Healer (Unreleased track)
10. Let It Set You Free (Unreleased track)

If you’re looking for one straight-ahead, kick-ass, rootsy rock and roll – THIS is the collection to grab! I have so much love and respect for John. One of rock’s truly talented GOOD GUYS!

Hope you enjoy our hang!

I first met Dirty Honey more than 5 years ago (hard to believe!) and they blew me away with their power, talent, and charisma as a band. The band’s frontman Marc Labelle is a DYNAMIC vocalist and one of my favorite rock people to hang out and chat with. Marc is real, honest, and passionate about music. (Loves Aerosmith and The Black Crowes ….come on! )

The band’s new release “Can’t Find The Brakes” is out this fall and Dirty Honey has a New Jersey show coming up on November 5th at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park (with Austin Meade opening) if you haven’t seen DH live, you must!

In this “Reconnect” webisode Marc opens up about the title “Can’t Find The Brakes,” the band’s first single “Won’t Take Me Alive,” ” the magic of recording in Australia, why their drummer Corey Coverstone left the band and how the new guy (Jaydon Bean) is ACTUALLY the “old guy”,  teaming up with the NHL, and much more!

Marc is a great friend of WDHA and I was excited to get some time with him to reconnect and get the scoop on “The Honey’s Hive”.

Hope you enjoy the interview as much as I did!

WDHA’s Reconnect With Rockers With Brent Smith From Shinedown (ZOOM Video)

Brent Smith has been a cherished friend of mine for over 20 years. Over time you get to know someone and understand where they come from. Brent always comes from a place of good. No….I correct that- Brent comes from a place of GREAT.

I first met Brent and the band in the early 2000s when they came with guitars to jam on my show live from “Pops BBQ” in Madison New Jersey. Now, they play the biggest festivals in the world and Brent is the same guy who jammed at Pops before their debut “Leave A Whisper” came out.

I have been involved with the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention for four years and Shinedown has been involved with AFSP for much longer. When I decided to reach out this year and see if the band would help me spread the word about my Essex County walk on October 29th at Verona Park in Verona New Jersey Brent’s team (Thank you Adam and Phil!) got back to me in record time with a resounding “Yes….what do you need”?

The band sent the most amazing “Limited Edition Revolutions Live” tour poster signed by each band member, only 150 were produced and NOT for sale! Pretty awesome! AND Brent was so anxious to jump on a Zoom and talk about the band’s involvement with AFSP, why they have always been open about mental health and personal challenges, of course, the upcoming WDHA show at Prudential Center on 9/24 and much more – (including the gift of Grandma’s Smith’s inspiration)

Brent is family and I thank him for his honesty, generosity, and time- (and for such a fun interview hang).

To join the team or donate if you can’t walk – AFSP Team Rock N’ Ruff– Walk with us on 10/29 and you will qualify for the posters!

Thanks for the time Brent and to our listening family for your support! This interview will make you feel GOOD! It did it for me!

Fun times with Mike Mushok from Staind– (one of the good guys!) on this week’s WDHA Reconnect with rockers webisode series. I haven’t seen Mike since we put together a special listener exclusive lunchtime bash when he was in Saint Asonia back in 2019, and what a time we had- we still have listeners mentioning that magical afternoon. These days after a twelve year hiatus from recording, Mike is back with Staind, and their new one is well worth the wait.

One of current based rock music’s most underrated guitar players, Mike checked in to discuss the recently released amazing new Staind record- “Confessions Of The Fallen” and how twelve years gave him and the band a great new perspective on making music together after a hiatus. Mike also discusses the dynamic between him and Aaron Lewis, evolving the bands sound, will he return to Saint Asonia? (his other project) , touring with his friends in Godsmack, guitar sounds and the new single “Here and Now” and the emotion of the song and video. Mike is one of the nicest guys in music, so dedicated to his craft and his band mates. it’s always a pleasure to catch up with him!

Check out the video for “Here and Now” below- It is absolutely beautiful- (and I dare you not to cry)- and the bands incredible new release “Confessions Of The Fallen”

We will have touring/concert info coming soon as well so stay tuned!

Congrats Mike on a fantastic release and thank you for checking in!

Hi Friends!

Terrie Carr here and you know I especially love “Reconnecting” with old friends!

I can’t  believe it’s been 30 years since Damon Johnson was at WDHA promoting his great 90’s band BROTHER CANE!

Well it has…….and Damon is an old friend who I’ve spoken with regarding his own band Damon Johnson and The Get Ready, his time in Alice Cooper’s band, touring with Lynyrd Skynyrd – but it’s amazing to Reconnect with him for a Brother Cane reunion!

With tunes like “Got No Shame”, “Hard Act To Follow” , “And Fools Shine On” and more, Brother Cane was a rootsy, cool radio band that competed with the grunge revolution for audience attention. And New Jersey LOVED them!

Damon and I chat about the bands past visits, the 30th anniversary of their debut record and some cool release news, an upcoming show at The Dunellen Theater on November 12th Dunellen Theatre Link and new music!

The band has a new tune released today (10/20) called “Blinded By The Sun” which is so reminiscent of the Brother Cane sound and a great rocker! It is available to stream or on the vinyl edition of the 30th anniversary vinyl of the bands debut release.

I’m so glad that the fans, musicians and Damon’s manager Kevin said “PUT THE BAND BACK TOGETHER”!

New music and a New Jersey show- Super cool!

Thanks for rocking with WDHA!

TC
